Easter Saturday 11.OOam 2013

The sun was shining this morning, the sky pastel blue, the port green/turquoise.  Siberian wind makes us freezing and much excitement as an 18th century skooner with 2 black masts, rigging and a black helm passed the cafe.  It was full of men in orange life jackets.

Illustration "The King and the Gardener"

These illustrations are inspired by the Normandy countryside, the ancient chateaux and the vivid colours of the landscapes which have attracted artists such as Monet and Picasso.

THE PRINCE AND THE CUPPIES

HELLO FROM FRANCE.

If you enjoyed my story of the Prince and the Cuppies do let me know.    In fact they will be renamed Kuppies (Kittens/Puppies)  I am now going to start writing my short stories on this and a short story blog called Sweetbread.  I need followers.

After the failure of his experiment with crossing the Siamese Cat and the Labrador, Prince Volonski turns his attention to the ducks on his lake with disastrous results.  Meanwhile his Cogs (Dog/cats) are running riot in his chateau as they grow up and the hapless Prince's mind turns to romance.

To read on blog on tomorrow and let me know you are out there.  I am a published author but love blogging and finding this great way of communicating with my public.

Have a lovely day.  We're freezing here in Normandy France although it's the first day of Spring.  Yippee

THE DEMISE OF ESTHER THE CAT

Is there anybody out there?

Cats, that's my main love in life - my cats and last week after 20 years Esther went to a Better Life.    She was riddled with arthritis, snorted, snored, had VERY BAD BREATHE and was sick on a regular basis.  Each night I had to give her kidney pills but in her youth she would chase foxes down the garden, terrify the vet and any other animal within spitting distance.  She had eyes as large as an owls, was a black angora, and purred like a motormower.

Here's to my Darling Esther.  Goodbye.xxxxxxx
